We had two very small bits of news that we thought should be crammed into a single story, with the first being word on Dario Argento‘s return to horror after the abysmal Dracula 3D.
At a recent photo exhibition titled “Cuts of light” by Franco Bellomo, dedicated to his films, the Italian horror master and director of Suspiria hinted at an imminent return to the set.
“I have a project, rather two,” said Argento. “Let’s see what will start first. Of course it is always horror. It will be something new.”
In other news, well more like non-news, Colossal director Nacho Vigalondo tells ScreenRant that his dream project would be to direct an Alien film.
“Would I love to make an Alien sequel? Of course. That would be amazing. But does the world want to see my Alien sequel? I’m not sure.”
Vigalondo’s Alien surely would be a unique spin, especially when you look at his excellent body of sci-fi work that includes Timecrimes and the bizarre V/H/S Viral segment “Parallel Monsters” (below).
