Artists are redesigning the iconic movie monster for a good cause.
Horror fans are some of the most generous, awesome people on the planet, and you need look no further than The Monster Charity Project for evidence of that. The annual UK event tasks artists with turning a blank Frankenstein bust into literally anything they desire; coolest of all, the art busts are then auctioned off, with all proceeds going directly to Make-A-Wish UK.
The 2017 Monster Charity Project will feature the work of 28 of the UK’s top prop-making, sculpting and SPFX make-up artists. Once completed, the busts will be going on a UK tour throughout the year, taking in such conventions as Horror Con UK and Creaturegeddon, where many of the featured artists can be seen sharing their work and will be available for a chat.
The busts will then go to auction on October 31st on the Make-A-Wish UK website.
Ahead of the convention roll-out, the generous folks behind The Monster Charity Project will be unveiling individual busts across the internet in the coming weeks, and we’re excited to exclusively debut artist Simon Windus’ contribution to the cause. His bust was inspired by Nazi zombie flick Dead Snow, and it comes officially endorsed by Dead Snow director Tommy Wirkola!
