‘The Strangers’ Are Hunting the Star of ‘The Ring’! (Exclusive)
In 2002, Martin Henderson battled Samara in The Ring. Now, he’s going to go up against Dollface, the Man in the Mask, and Pin-up Girl in The Strangers 2, Bloody Disgusting learned exclusively.
It was announced last week that Emmy-nominated Christina Hendricks had joined the cast, with Bailee Madison, who starred in the Guillermo del Toro-produce Don’t Be Afraid of the Dark, and Lewis Pullman (Aftermath).
Johannes Roberts, director of this summer’s excellent 47 Meters Down, as well as The Other Side of the Door, is directing from a script by Bertino and Ben Ketai.
“The film follows a family whose road trip takes a turn when they arrive at a secluded mobile home park and after the power goes out they decide to hunker down for the night in a borrowed trailer. Under the cover of darkness, three familiar masked psychopaths pay them a visit to test their every limit.”
Martin, who also starred in Everest and Smokin’ Aces, and is featured in Tjardus Greidanus’ Hellbent, is repped by Charlie Jennings/CAA and Bill Choi/Management 360.

Adam Wingard’s ‘Onslaught’ Receives ‘R’ Rating for Strong Bloody Violence and Sexual Material
Adam Wingard (You’re Next, The Guest) is getting back to his roots with the A24 movie Onslaught, and the film has received an ‘R’ rating from the MPA this week.
Releasing in theaters on September 4, Adam Wingard’s Onslaught is Rated ‘R’ for “Strong bloody violence, some gore, sexual material/nudity, and language.”
Watch the previously released Onslaught trailer below.
The duo behind The Guest, director Adam Wingard and writer Simon Barrett, are re-teaming for the upcoming Onslaught, which stars Adria Arjona in the leading role.
Here’s the synopsis: “When a rogue squad of genetically engineered super soldiers break loose in the desert, a badass Army sniper must unleash hell to protect her young daughter.”
Rebecca Hall (The Night House, Godzilla x Kong) and Dan Stevens (The Guest) also star in Adam Wingard’s upcoming new movie Onslaught alongside Michael Biehn, Reginald VelJohnson, Eric Wareheim, Drew Starkey, and Alex “Poatan” Pereira.
Wingard has spent the past several years making Hollywood blockbusters including Godzilla vs. Kong and Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire, and the idea behind Onslaught is to get back to his filmmaking roots. Onslaught looks very much in line with Wingard’s fan favorite The Guest, so much so that fans have been speculating that it’s set in the very same universe.
Dan Stevens starred alongside Maika Monroe in 2014 action-thriller The Guest. He played a mysterious ex-soldier with a secret agenda who wreaks havoc on a small town.
At the very least, The Guest and Onslaught look to be cut from the same cloth.
And yes, Dan Stevens is in both of them!
