‘The Witch’ Composer Creating Haunting Score for ‘The Wanting’
Filipino director Yam Laranas’ (The Echo, The Road) psychological thriller The Wanting took to Cannes where Lakeshore International boarded the film as a sales agent. Now, we have word that The Witch composer Mark Korven will create the haunting score for the chiller!
Adam Brody (Jennifer’s Body) and Amanda Crew (Final Destination 3; “Silicon Valley”) star in the film, which is said to be in the vein of Rosemary’s Baby and The Exorcist.
Based on a short story by Gin de Mesa and Yam Laranas, “The Wanting is about an all-American couple whose dream of starting a family is shattered after they move into the perfect New England neighborhood. Once settled, they soon after descend into the depths of terror as they struggle to survive a genuine threat from a dark presence that appears to want to end their very lives.”
Yam shared another mood shot from the film, take a look above.
Rob Heydon is producing the adapted screenplay from Donald Martin (Milton’s Secret). Sid Ganis and Joni Sighvatsson are the Executive Producers.
