‘Eat Locals’ Poster Dresses Up for Dinner (Exclusive)

Jason Flemyng, best known for his collaborations with Matthew Vaughn and roles in such pics as X-Men: First Class and Lock, Stock And Two Smoking Barrels, recently sank his teeth into directing with vampire thriller Eat Locals. Screening at the upcoming FrightFest in London, Bloody Disgusting has learned that the film will open in select UK cinemas and PVOD September 1st (iTunes & Sky Store) and on VOD/DVD October 30th.

Bloody also has the exclusive poster debut for the film that takes place in a quiet country farmhouse where Britain’s vampires gather for their once-every-fifty-years meeting.

Eat Locals features “Daredevil‘s” Charlie Cox starring alongside Mackenzie Crook (Pirates Of The Caribbean, “Game Of Thrones”), actor-writer-director Dexter Fletcher (Eddie The Eagle), Freema Agyeman (“Doctor Who”) and Eve Myles (“Doctor Who,” “Torchwood”).  Ruth Jones (Gavin & Stacey), Annette Crosbie (Into The Woods) and Vincent Regan (Lockout, 300) also star.

“’Eat Locals’ revolves around unwitting Essex boy Sebastian (newcomer Billy Cook), whose promise of a night of passion with a ravishing cougar quickly turns into a fight for survival after she decides to introduce him to some of her friends — a coven of hungry vampires — at a remote farmhouse. Added to the mix, a heavily armed band of mercenary vampire hunters crashes the party.

Danny King, a BAFTA nominee for Wild Bill, wrote the screenplay. Rod Smith of Evolution Pictures produced.
