After years on the shelf at Dimension Films, the James Wan-produced haunter Demonic is finally set for release, with it premiering on Spike TV this coming Thursday at 8PM!
For those who want to watch without commercial interruptions, Demonic will arrive on VOD platforms October 10, 2017, a source tells Bloody Disgusting. A Netflix release will soon follow.
Demonic, directed by Will Canon and penned by Max La Bella, was already released internationally way back in 2015. It stars both The Purge‘s Frank Grillo alongside Maria Bello.
Filmed way back in 2013, “When Detective Mark Lewis (Frank Grillo) is called to a local house, he finds the bodies of three slaughtered college students. The only survivor, John (Dustin Milligan) claims they held a séance to summon ghosts of people killed in the house years earlier. Now, three of his friends are dead and two are missing – including his pregnant girlfriend.
“Teaming up criminal psychologist Dr. Elizabeth Klein (Maria Bello), Det. Lewis investigates the videotapes discovered at the scene to try and uncover what really happened that night. What they find is more terrifying than they ever could have imagined…“
Demonic was completed before the release of James Wan’s The Conjuring, which means that we’ve seen several Conjuring spinoffs and sequels in the amount of time it took for them to finally release this little fella.
