‘Blood Honey’ Poster Oozes the Sweet Stuff; Trailer Debut!

At first glance we got major Candyman vibes along with a few cavities from the poster for new indie flick, Blood Honey. No mirror summonings or hooks in sight for this Canadian thriller which is set to release on home turf this September. Take a look below at the one sheet and trailer to catch a glimpse of the stellar cast including the awesome Natalie Brown who gave us chills in Jovanka Vuckovic’s “The Box” as part of XX.

The film follows Jenibel Heath (Grimes-Beech) on her return to her family’s secluded island lodge to help her siblings care for their dying father, 10 years after the mysterious suicide of her mother. Set to inherit the bulk of the family’s estate, Jenibel learns of a horrific plot against her and finds herself stuck in a life-threatening nightmare, where she must struggle to survive.

Blood Honey is directed by Jeff Kopas (An Insignificant Harvey) and stars Shenae Grimes-Beech (The New Beverly Hills 90210) Gil Bellows (Shawshank Redemption), Don McKellar (Sensitive Skin), Rosemary Dunsmore (Orphan Black), Natalie Brown (The Strain), and Ken Mitchell (The Astronaut Wives Club).

New Line’s ‘Companion’ from ‘Barbarian’ Team Has Been Rated “R” for “Strong Violence” & “Sexual Content”

From New Line Cinema and producer Zach Cregger (Director: Barbarian) comes the upcoming sci-fi/horror movie Companion, which has officially received its “R” rating this week.

Companion has been rated “R” by the MPA for…

“Strong violence, sexual content, and language throughout.”

The film’s cast includes Sophie Thatcher (“Yellowjackets,” The Boogeyman) alongside Rupert Friend (Separation), Harvey Guillén (“What We Do in the Shadows”), Lukas Gage (“You”), Megan Suri (It Lives Inside), and Jack Quaid (Scream, “The Boys”).

Described as a sci-fi/horror movie, Companion will mark the directorial debut of Drew Hancock, who also wrote the script. At this time, plot details are under wraps.

In other words, we have no idea what to expect from this one. Stay tuned for more.
