The 74th Venice International Film Festival hosted the world premiere of Darren Aronofsky’s psychological thriller mother!, which is being hailed as a WTF assault on the viewers, or as the Telegraph calls it, “A shocking, surrealist, symphonically berserk feast of filth.”
Now that the curtains were pulled back from the film starring Jennifer Lawrence and Javier Bardem as a couple whose relationship is tested when uninvited guests arrive at their home, Paramount Pictures is igniting their campaign with punctuation. We’ve been reloading their bizarre kaleidoscope website – http://www.youllneveranswerthedooragain.com/ – only to discover it’s been updated once again. This time, the site unlocked a new clip of sorts, which plays like a montage of footage that escalates in insanity. This isn’t hyperbole; I’m not exactly sure what the hell is going on but it gets so crazy that there appear to be paparazzi at the duo’s house? There’s also another revelation: it’s been confirmed that Bardem is, in fact, the father to Lawrence’s baby. The question is, why do they want her baby and what big plans do they have in store for it?
