Netflix’s ‘The Babysitter’ Trailer: Humor, Hot People, and Human Sacrifice
Netflix is handing out tons of treats this Halloween season as they’ve now shared the insanely gory trailer for McG’s The Babysitter, which hits their streaming service on Friday, October 13th.
“The Babysitter follows a lonely, 12-year-old boy who falls in love with his hot babysitter only to discover that she’s part of a satanic cult that wants to kill him.”
The first footage is pretty wild and looks like the perfect compliment to Christopher Peckover’s Better Watch Out, arriving on VOD platforms this coming Friday. The Babysitter looks like it sprays blood and is capable of anything, leaving me expecting some sort of third act surprise. What we know we’ll see come next weekend is a lot of humor, hot people, and human sacrifice. I can get behind that.
Speaking of “hot people”, The Babysitter features Bella Thorne, who also stars in Dimension Films’ long-delayed Amityville: The Awakening, alongside Robbie Amell, Samara Weaving, Andrew Bachelor, Hana Mae Lee, and Judah Lewis.
Terminator Salvation‘s McG directed from Brian Duffield’s script, which received top placement on the 2014 Blacklist.
David Fincher’s “Mindhunter” series hits the streaming service on the same day, with Stephen King’s 1922 arriving on October 20th and “Stranger Things” Season 2 debuting October 27th. Get your popcorn ready!
