Before “Stranger Things” made them huge names in Hollywood, Matt and Ross Duffer were just a couple of hungry film students hoping for the best. Back in 2007, the brothers attended Chapman University where they wrote and directed “Eater“, an impressive 20-minute horror short as their senior thesis.
The set up for Eater is as simple and concise as a Stephen King short story:
A rookie cop works the night shift at a police station with a cannibal prisoner on the loose.
It’s also worth noting that the Duffer brothers’ first feature, Hidden, is also incredible. Avoid spoilers and check it out prior to getting distracted by “Stranger Things 2”.
