I don’t really understand this move by Paramount Pictures, who has just shifted the release date of the next Cloverfield film to go up against New Line Cinema’s behemoth Rampage.
Paramount Pictures announced today that they have bumped the Untitled Cloverfield film out of its February slot to April 20, 2018, pitting it against several films including Rampage, Super Troopers 2, and Overboard.
In Director Julius Onah’s tentatively titled God Particle, the next film in Bad Robot’s Cloverfield Universe:
A team of astronauts make a shocking discovery and end up fighting for survival.
It stars John Ortiz, David Oyelowo (Selma, Interstellar), Elizabeth Debicki (The Night Manager, The Man From U.N.C.L.E.), Gugu Mbatha-Raw (Concussion, Beyond the Lights), Chris O’Dowd (The IT Crowd, Moone Boy, Thor: The Dark World), Ziyi Zhang (Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon), and Daniel Bruhl (Captain America: Civil War, Rush).
