Suddenly, this is a movie I really want to see.
Eli Roth remakes a classic revenge film with this year’s Death Wish, starring Bruce Willis in the role Charles Bronson made famous. The recent trailers haven’t done much to pique my interest, but this latest one presents a Grindhouse-style exploitation flick that would’ve fit in well alongside Planet Terror and Death Proof back in 2007.
The red band trailer captures the aesthetic of the faux trailers that played between those films as part of Grindhouse, and I can only hope it accurately represents the overall tone of Roth’s remake. Because *this* movie looks like a total blast.
Death Wish arrives in theaters on March 2, 2018.
