If you’re looking for haunting, original horror films, look no further than Oz Perkins, son of late Psycho star Anthony Perkins. With I Am the Pretty Thing That Lives in the House and The Blackcoat’s Daughter under his belt, Perkins has quickly established himself as a visionary horror master, and we’ve got details on his next project.
Via Deadline, Perkins will rewrite and direct A Head Full of Ghosts for Focus Features, an adaptation of Paul Tremblay’s same-named novel.
“The film tells the story of Merry, who 20 years after her family was publicly consumed and destroyed by her teenage sister’s mysterious and horrific affliction, is approached by a journalist to tell the story in her own words. She reveals a far more terrifying version of what really happened in her childhood home.”
Ben Collins and Luke Piotrowsky (Super Dark Times) wrote the script.
Producers include Team Downey partners Susan Downey and Robert Downey Jr., The Allegiance Theater’s Daniel Dubiecki and Lara Alameddine, and David Gambino.
