The long-running Tremors franchise returns in just under a month with director Don Michael Paul’s Tremors: A Cold Day in Hell, the sixth installment to date. Michael Gross is of course back as Graboid slayer Burt Gummer for an all-new adventure that will primarily see Gummer and Jamie Kennedy’s Travis Welker fighting Graboids in Canada.
But according to social media posts, Tremors 6 will also take us back to the small Nevada town of Perfection Valley, which we haven’t been to since 04’s The Legend Begins!
Gross himself posted a set photo of the Perfection sign over on Facebook recently, writing “You CAN go home again! Been a few years, but Tremors fans will never forget Perfection and Chang’s Market. Revisit your old haunts with Burt Gummer and Jamie Kennedy in Tremors: A Cold Day In Hell.”
And the official Tremors FB page shared a 360-degree video from the filming of a scene in Chang’s Market, confirming that at least some portion will be set in Perfection!
In the new film, “Burt Gummer (Michael Gross) and his son Travis Welker (Jamie Kennedy) find themselves up to their ears in Graboids and Ass-Blasters when they head to Canada to investigate a series of deadly giant-worm attacks. Arriving at a remote research facility in the artic tundra, Burt begins to suspect that Graboids are secretly being weaponized, but before he can prove his theory, he is sidelined by Graboid venom. With just 48 hours to live, the only hope is to create an antidote from fresh venom — but to do that, someone will have to figure out how to milk a Graboid!”
A Cold Day in Hell will be released on Blu-ray, DVD and Digital HD on May 1.
