‘In Darkness’: New Shots of a Blind Natalie Dormer

The Forest and “Games of Thrones” star Natalie Dormer stars with Ed Skrein (Deadpool) in Anthony Byrne‘s psychological revenge thriller In Darkness, which Vertical Entertainment has acquired for release this on May 25, 2018.

In the film, “Blind pianist Sofia (Dormer) overhears a struggle in the apartment above hers that leads to the death of her neighbor Veronique (Ratajkowski). It is the start of a journey that pulls Sofia out of her depth and brings her into contact with Veronique’s father, Milos Radic (Bijvoet). A Serbian businessman accused of being a war criminal, Sofia is drawn into a dangerous world of corruption, investigating police, hitmen and the Russian mafia – a world with links to Sofia’s own hidden past and a path of revenge she has kept hidden until now.

Gone Girl‘s Emily Ratajkowski also stars. The film is from a script co-written by Dormer and Byrne.

‘Drop’ – Violett Beane Joins the Cast of Christopher Landon’s New Thriller

Christopher Landon (Happy Death Day, Freaky) is staying busy here in 2024, directing not only the werewolf movie Big Bad but also an upcoming thriller titled Drop.

The project for Blumhouse and Platinum Dunes is being described as a “fast-paced thriller,” and Deadline reports today that Violett Beane (Truth or Dare) has joined the cast.

Newcomer Jacob Robinson has also signed on to star in the mysterious thriller. Previously announced, Meghann Fahy (“White Lotus”) will be leading the cast.

Landon recently teased on Twitter, “This is my love letter to DePalma.”

Jillian Jacobs and Chris Roach wrote the script.

Michael Bay, Jason Blum, Brad Fuller and Cameron Fuller — “who brought the script in to Platinum Dunes” — are producing the upcoming Drop. Sam Lerner is an executive producer.

THR notes, “The film is a Platinum Dunes and Blumhouse production for Universal.”
