CBS Films Opening ‘Hell Fest’ Horror Park In September!

Bex Taylor-Klaus SCREAM

Lionsgate and CBS Films have announced that they’ll be opening Hell Fest a few weeks earlier, setting it for theaters on September 28, 2018, a small change from the original Oct. 12 date.

Blumhouse regular Gregory Plotkin, who directed Paranormal Activity: The Ghost Dimension and edited Get Out, got behind the camera for the horror film in which Amy Forsyth (The Path, Rise), Reign Edwards (MacGyver, Snowfall) and Bex Taylor-Klaus (Here And Now, Arrow) play three friends who race to save patrons who believe the gore is all part of a thematic scare show.

The film is set at a horror theme park during Halloween where a night of fun turns deadly as a costumed killer begins slaying unsuspecting patrons who believe that it’s all part of the festivities.

“The Walking Dead’s” Gale Anne Hurd is producing via her company Valhalla Motion Pictures. It was previously reported that CBS Films president Terry Press is a longtime fan of the Hellfest concept, believing it could spark a horror franchise.
