John Wick has a multi-million dollar price on his head in John Wick: Chapter 3, with Keanu Reeves reprising the badass title role for next year’s now-filming sequel. And he’ll be starring alongside Halle Berry (Gothika) this time around, with the actress revealing on Instagram this afternoon that she’s booked her stay at the Continental Hotel! She will play the female lead of the movie, a character named Sofia, says THR.
Additionally, Anjelica Huston (The Addams Family, Witches) and Asia Kate Dillon have signed on, with Huston playing a figure known as The Director while Dillon is The Adjudicator of the High Table.
In the film…
“John Wick (Reeves) is on the run for two reasons… he’s being hunted for a global $14 million dollar open contract on his life, and for breaking a central rule: taking a life on Continental Hotel grounds. The victim was a member of the High Table who ordered the open contract. John should have already been executed, except the Continental’s manager, Winston, has given him a one-hour grace period before he’s “Excommunicado” – membership revoked, banned from all services and cut off from other members. John uses the service industry to stay alive as he fights and kills his way out of New York City.”
Laurence Fishburne, Ian McShane and Lance Reddick are returning, with Mark Dacascos, Jason Mantzoukas, Tiger Hu Chen, Yayan Ruhian and Cecep Arif Rahman.
Chad Stahelski is directing from a script by Derek Kolstad.
The new film is arriving in theaters on May 17, 2019.
