Between James Cameron‘s The Terminator and Terminator 2: Judgment Day, Sarah Connor went from the hunted to the hunter. Linda Hamilton got jacked for the sequel, in which she must flex her muscles to protect her son, John (Edward Furlong), from an even more dangerous robot from the future.
After years of god-awful sequels, Cameron has regained the rights to the franchise and has set Deadpool‘s Tim Miller to take the reigns on what will be a direct sequel to T2. Filming is already underway, with Hamilton returning to the role that has defined her career. While it’s said to be a “baton-passing” role, we’re excited to see her back and looking as badass as ever. The Terminator Fans have exclusively revealed our first look at Hamilton on the set, rocking sunglasses, a bulletproof vest, and a ton of muscle. Miller and Cameron recently found their new Terminator in Gabriel Luna, who appeared as Ghost Rider in ABC’s superhero series Marvel’s “Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.” Paramount releases the film on November 22, 2019.
