Remake Director Luca Guadagnino Presenting 4K Screening of Argento’s ‘Suspiria’ in Italy

We can be pretty sure that Dario Argento’s Suspiria has never looked as beautiful as it will look on the big screen this coming Thursday night, when Synapse Films shows off their award-winning 4K DCP of the film at the Il Cinema Ritrovato Film Festival in Bologna, Italy. Yes, we’re talking the actual 4K master, *not* a projection of their Blu-ray!

Synapse explains, “Synapse Films and 20th Century Fox worked to get a copy of our 4K master over to Italy for this. The subtitles being shown will be in Italian, and will be projected during the presentation. The most exciting aspect of finally being able to show our superior restoration in Italy, is that SUSPIRIA’s original Director of Photography Luciano Tovoli, as WELL as Luca Guadagnino, the director of the remake, will be on-hand to introduce our version.”

The screening will take place Thursday, June 28, 2018 at the Cinema Arlecchino, for the “Recovered and Restored 2018” Programme. Showtime is set for 9:30pm.
