The idea of yet another iteration of The Joker coming to the screen may not seem very fresh or exciting, especially when Jared Leto’s Joker only just came into existence, but the good news in regards to director Todd Phillips’ upcoming solo Joker movie is that Joaquin Phoenix has been officially cast in the role, a brilliant bit of casting that may give us the next great Joker.
We have a feeling Phoenix is going to be *all in,* and that’s a terrifying/exciting thought.
So what might Phoenix look like as the Clown Prince of Crime? Our pal Boss Logic just put his skills to the test to imagine the actor in the role, and the results have us even more excited.

The film will reportedly be made on a $55 million production budget, with it being described as a crime drama that will be “darker and more experimental in tone and content.”
THR reported this week, “Todd Phillips is directing and co-wrote the script, which the studio describes as being an exploration of a man disregarded by society [that] is not only a gritty character study, but also a broader cautionary tale.”
Scott Silver co-wrote the script. Emma Tillinger Koskoff (The Wolf of Wall Street) is producing, with Richard Baratta on board as an executive producer.
