Unbreakable‘s Samuel L. Jackson returns as Elijah Price/Mr. Glass, while Bruce Willis reprises his role as the film’s hero, David Dunn, in M. Night Shyamalan’s Glass, a sequel to both Unbreakable and Split that he’s describing as a “grounded comic book thriller”. The two characters collide with James McAvoy‘s “The Beast,” of course from Split.
This morning, EW got their hands on the first images from Glass, which highlight Jackson, Willis and McAvoy, as well as new arrival Sarah Paulson and Split‘s Anya Taylor-Joy.
“She deals with people that think they’re comic-book characters,” Shyamalan teased Paulson’s character. “It’s kind of the modern-day equivalent of ‘I think I’m Jesus’ or ‘I’m an emperor.’”
In the film…
“Following the conclusion of SPLIT, GLASS finds David Dunn pursuing Kevin Wendell Crumb’s superhuman figure of The Beast in a series of escalating encounters, while the shadowy presence of Elijah Price emerges as an orchestrator who holds secrets critical to both men.”
Unbreakable star Spencer Treat Clark is back as Joseph Dunn, the son of Bruce Willis’ heroic character, while co-star Charlayne Woodard will again play Elijah Price’s mother.
Adam David Thompson (Netflix’s “Godless”) also stars.
Glass will arrive on January 18, 2019.
