Bloody Disgusting is the first to receive the brand new official one-sheet for New Line Cinema’s The Nun, which will kick off the San Diego Comic-Con tonight as part of their annual ScareDiego.
The poster juxtaposes light and dark, showing a photo of star Taissa Farmiga that’s burning to reveal Bonnie Aarons‘ title character, who first appeared in James Wan‘s The Conjuring 2. It’s either a simple analogy or there’s an implication that maybe Farmiga’s character becomes the Nun, somehow? Maybe she gets possessed?

In The Nun…
“When a young nun at a cloistered abbey in Romania takes her own life, a priest with a haunted past and a novitiate on the threshold of her final vows are sent by the Vatican to investigate. The Nun stars Oscar-nominated Demian Bichir (“A Better Life”) as Father Burke, Taissa Farmiga (TV’s “American Horror Story”) as Sister Irene, Jonas Bloquet (Elle) as local villager Frenchie, Charlotte Hope (TV’s “Game of Thrones”) as the abbey’s Sister Victoria, Ingrid Bisu (“Toni Erdmann”) as Sister Oana, and Bonnie Aarons, reprising her Conjuring 2 role as the title character.
