From what we understand, Norman Reedus has been offered a big time payday to take over as the series lead of “The Walking Dead” after Andrew Lincoln moves away from the show in the very near future, and we don’t yet know if Reedus has accepted the offer. We’re assuming he has, but waiting on confirmation. In the meantime, Reedus is plotting his big screen return.
Deadline reports today that STX Entertainment’s STXfilms division is developing a genre project for Reedus to star in, the film being ground-up tailored to Reedus’ audience and talents.
Reportedly, Reedus will both star in and produce the film, which doesn’t yet have a title or plot rundown. It would seem that it’s in the very early stages of development right now.
“Norman has steadily built up a devoted fan following across movies and television with memorable performances,” STXfilms chairman Fogelson told the site. “STX is thrilled to collaborate with Norman on this new film project that we are custom-creating for him and with him and that will be sure to excite his tremendous fan base.”
More as we learn it.
