We hadn’t been expecting director F. Gary Gray’s upcoming Men in Black reboot to directly connect to the original franchise, so we’re a bit surprised to hear that Emma Thompson will be starring in the film. Thompson, you may remember, played Agent O in Men in Black III, and she’ll be reprising the role in next summer’s reboot.
THR notes, “Plot details and most character details are being kept secret but it is known that Thompson will reprise the role of Agent 0, the chief of the Men in Black organization.”
The new film is described as being “global in scope”…
Em tries to prove herself by joining the London MIB and will be paired with Agent H. The pair will become involved in a murder mystery that will lead to them on a global journey.
The cast also includes Chris Hemsworth, Tessa Thompson, Liam Neeson, Rafe Spall and Kumail Nanjiani.
