With home runs like Ex Machina, Green Room, The Witch, A Ghost Story and Hereditary under their belt, to name just a few of their noteworthy success stories, production/distribution company A24 has established itself as a mark of quality when it comes to genre cinema. We’re loving what they’ve been doing, and their projects always encourage instant excitement.
We certainly don’t want to read too much into it, but the official A24 Twitter account tweeted tonight that they’d “very much like to make a shark movie,” and I can’t help but imagine the incredible possibilities right about now. As a mega fan of shark attack horror movies, the mere thought of A24 making one is enough to make me open up my wallet.
Of course, it’s entirely possible that the team is merely having a little Shark Week fun tonight, but it’s at least good to hear that they’re interested in exploring the horrors of the deep. However serious they may or may not have been with this tweet, we’re 100% on board.
