The newest Venom trailer became one with the internet this morning. The footage was extraordinary – breathtaking even (see above) – delivering a Venom faithful to the comics who’s both wicked and vile, and also hilarious. It’s clear they’re getting closer to finishing the special effects because most of it looked ridiculously good, but what’s most impressive is how expressive the title character is. The way they work the symbiote’s eyes (see below gif) reminds me of the killer work Fox did on Deadpool.
Here’s the kicker: even after seeing all of this insane footage, this trailer still appears to leave a lot of mystery inside the box. This madness is only the tip of the iceberg and the promise of a Carnage-led sequel only makes my saliva drip even more.
