After haunting the Warrens in The Conjuring 2, the creepy demonic Nun will be haunting theaters September 7, 2018.
In The Nun, a priest with a haunted past and a novitiate on the threshold of her final vows are sent by the Vatican to investigate the death of a young nun in Romania and confront a malevolent force in the form of a demonic nun.
Bonnie Aarons reprises her Conjuring 2 role as the title character, which means more physical horror and less CGI, says director Corin Hardy.
“It’s a bigger movie in many ways than something like The Hallow, but it’s also a grounded movie in that we’re doing it all for real,” he told Empire in the new issue. “There’s very little CGI: actually less CGI than even The Hallow. We’re concentrating more on complex choreography and mind-trickery.”
Empire also shared two new pictures from the film – one showing new character Father Burke, played by Demián Bichir, being preyed upon, and the other revealing Valak in all its spooky glory.
