It looks like filming has wrapped on Paramount’s new adaptation of Stephen King’s Pet Sematary, with Starry Eyes duo Dennis Widmyer and Kevin Kolsch in the director’s chairs. John Lithgow is taking over the role of Jud Crandall, of course played in the original film adaptation by the late Fred Gwynne, and we’ve got your first look via a set photo today.
The photo was shared by Beau Ferris, the first assistant director/second unit director on the film. It’s looking like this version of Jud will be rocking a big ole beard! Check it out below.
Three-year-old twins Hugo Lavoie and Lucas Lavoie will play Gage Creed, with Jeté Laurence taking on the role of Ellie Creed. Jason Clarke (Winchester) and Amy Seimetz (Alien: Covenant) are our new Louis and Rachel Creed.
Paramount originally dated the new adaptation for release on April 19, 2019, but we learned recently that it’s been slightly bumped up to April 5, 2019.
