While post-credits scenes may be primarily synonymous with Marvel’s superhero movies (and 1987’s Masters of the Universe, the best major motion picture ever made), plenty of horror films have had their own post-credits scenes over the years. And Luca Guadagnino’s Suspiria, we’ve now learned, will come complete with its own end credits stinger.
For a 2 hour, 32 minute film, that means you’re gonna be in that theater for a while!
In a chat with Deadline, Guadagnino spoke about the post-credits scene, and what it could mean for the future of Suspiria as a franchise – sequels, as always, are currently on the table.
“The character is looking forward towards something. I think it would be interesting to know what that is…” Guadagnino teased to the site.
He continued, “At the beginning we were going to title the movie Suspiria: Part One but we didn’t want to give the impression of something that couldn’t stand alone. Truthfully, I’d be interested to explore the origin of Madame Blanc and Helena Markos and also the future of Susie Bannion in the world. So maybe. We’ll have to see how the movie goes.”
Suspiria arrives in theaters on November 2.
