We shared some images of Pennywise back on the set of IT: Chapter Two earlier today, and now director Andy Muschietti brings us a fun photo of he and star Jessica Chastain.
Chastain is of course playing the adult version of Beverly Marsh in next year’s sequel, played by Sophia Lillis in the 2017 film. And it looks like she’s getting as bloody as Lillis did…
Muschietti returns to direct the sequel, which features the adult version of Losers’ Club members who survived the malevolent Pennywise as kids in the 1980s.
James McAvoy plays Bill, Bill Hader is Richie, Jessica Chastain is Beverly, James Ransone is Eddie, Andy Bean is Stanley, Jay Ryan is Ben and Isaiah Mustafa is Mike.
Barbara Muschietti, Roy Lee and Dan Lin are producing the pic from a screenplay adapted by Gary Dauberman.
Warner Bros. will release the film in theaters on September 6, 2019.
