When it arrives at IMAX theaters later this month, Eli Roth’s The House With a Clock in Its Walls will be paired up with Michael Jackson’s Thriller in IMAX 3D for the very first time, ensuring that the one-two punch is a must-attend event for Halloween lovers. Particularly for fans of old school Amblin entertainment, which Roth has channeled for his latest.
As Roth recently explained, Steven Spielberg encouraged him to make House a genuinely scary film for kids, as Amblin is aiming to get back to the spirit of the kinds of films they were making back in the ’80s. Fittingly, the film’s IMAX poster hearkens back to those days, looking like a piece of Drew Struzan art. Check it out below!

Based on the beloved children’s classic written by John Bellairs and illustrated by Edward Gorey, The House with a Clock in Its Walls is written by Eric Kripke (“Supernatural”).
