We’re not sure what we love more… this trailer or this poster.
Horror is in a damn good place right now, with the movies getting so good in recent years that they’re generating Oscar buzz; and, in the case of Get Out and The Shape of Water, they’re actually *winning* Oscars. But that doesn’t mean there’s no longer a place for silly, fun and over the top horror, and next year’s CarousHell aims to gleefully check off all those boxes.
Based on a script by director Steve Rudzinski and Aleen Isley, the horror/comedy tells of a sentient carousel unicorn that gets pushed too far by a brat…
The unicorn breaks free of his spinning prison to go on a revenge-driven murder spree on his way to kill the kid.
The gore in this one actually looks damn good, scratching that ’80s horror itch big time. And if “sentient carousel unicorn” isn’t a winning premise, I’m just not sure what is anymore!
CarousHell is due for release in 2019 from Wild Eye Releasing.
