Former “Saturday Night Live” cast member Bill Hader has been brilliantly cast in the role of Richie Tozier in IT: Chapter Two, played as a kid in IT by “Stranger Things” star Finn Wolfhard. Hader really does look like an older version of Wolfhard, so we’re thinking nobody is going to have any trouble buying into them being the same character, 27 years apart.

Andy Muschietti returns to direct the sequel, which features the adult version of Losers’ Club members who survived the malevolent Pennywise as kids in the 1980s.
James McAvoy plays Bill, Bill Hader is Richie, Jessica Chastain is Beverly, James Ransone is Eddie, Andy Bean is Stanley, Jay Ryan is Ben and Isaiah Mustafa is Mike.
Barbara Muschietti, Roy Lee and Dan Lin are producing the pic from a screenplay adapted by Gary Dauberman.
Warner Bros. will release the film in theaters on September 6, 2019.
