Moving from zombies to monsters, Paul W.S. Anderson is directing a feature film adaptation of Capcom’s Monster Hunter, with Milla Jovovich signed on to star. As we learned earlier this week, Ron Perlman has also joined the cast, and now so too has Tony Jaa (Ong-Bak)!

Via THR, “Jovovich is playing a character named Artemis while Jaa is ostensibly the movie’s male lead, a man simply called The Hunter.”

The game’s premise involves players taking on characters who track and kill monsters, leveling up with weapons and gear.

Filming begins in South Africa next month.

T.I. Harris also stars in the Screen Gems film, penned by Anderson.

Writer in the horror community since 2008. Owns Eli Roth's prop corpse from Piranha 3D. Has three awesome cats. Still plays with toys.
