It was of course Goblin who provided the score for Dario Argento’s Suspiria, but Luca Guadagnino’s Suspiria will be doing away with that iconic score in favor of a brand new, wholly original one from Radiohead’s Thom Yorke. It’s actually Yorke’s very first foray into film scoring, and he just provided another track from his Suspiria soundtrack today.
It’s titled “Has Ended,“ and you can listen to it below.
Guadagnino teased the soundtrack in a chat with Deadline recently…
“Thom, myself and my editor Walter Fasano spoke at length about a score that sounded in line with the sound of the times, 1970s Europe. Thom really enjoyed working with electronic music and contemporary classical sounds, two different musical worlds. All the songs from Thom are originals for the movie.”
