Radiohead’s Thom Yorke Shares Another Full Track from His ‘Suspiria’ Soundtrack

It was of course Goblin who provided the score for Dario Argento’s Suspiria, but Luca Guadagnino’s Suspiria will be doing away with that iconic score in favor of a brand new, wholly original one from Radiohead’s Thom Yorke. It’s actually Yorke’s very first foray into film scoring, and he just provided another track from his Suspiria soundtrack today.

It’s titled “Has Ended, and you can listen to it below.

Guadagnino teased the soundtrack in a chat with Deadline recently…

Thom, myself and my editor Walter Fasano spoke at length about a score that sounded in line with the sound of the times, 1970s Europe. Thom really enjoyed working with electronic music and contemporary classical sounds, two different musical worlds. All the songs from Thom are originals for the movie.”

Grab your copy of Yorke’s Suspiria on October 26.

Austrian filmmakers Veronika Franz and Severin Fiala (The Lodge, Goodnight Mommy) are back with new horror movie The Devil’s Bath, and it’s coming to Shudder this summer.

The Devil’s Bath debuts on Shudder June 28, Variety reports today.

The film makes its North American premiere at the Tribeca Film Festival in June.

Here’s the official plot synopsis for the German-language horror movie: “In 1750 Austria, a deeply religious woman named Agnes has just married her beloved, but her mind and heart soon grow heavy as her life becomes a long list of chores and expectations. Day after day, she is increasingly trapped in a murky and lonely path leading to evil thoughts, until the possibility of committing a shocking act of violence seems like the only way out of her inner prison.”

Anja PlaschgDavid ScheidMaria HofstätterCamilla Schielin, and Lorenz Tröbinger star. You can check out a first look image above. Expect the trailer in the coming weeks.

The filmmakers tell Variety, “We want to see the world how it is, and that’s of course sometimes very difficult and painful, but I think we owe it to ourselves and other human beings to be honest about everything that’s not great in the world. Many movies just depict the world as a humongous place that’s amazing to live in. We think sometimes that’s not true and feel the responsibility to look into those pieces.”

The Devil’s Bath is produced by Heimatfilm Productions and Ulrich Seidl Productions as a co-production with Heimatfilm and Coop99 Filmproduktion.
