“The Office” star John Krasinski wore many hats on the set of A Quiet Place, a film he not only starred in but also directed, co-wrote and executive produced. As it turns out, one thing we didn’t know is that Krasinski also played the film’s monster… no seriously, he did!
Revealed in a chat with Jimmy Kimmel, Krasinski just spilled the beans that he actually provided the motion capture for the film’s creature, and Kimmel showed off a fun behind the scenes photo that shows Krasinski in a mo-cap suit, providing the monster’s movements.
“Nobody knows it because I’ve kept it [secret],” Krasinski told Kimmel. He joked, “This is gonna end my career. Yeah, the commitment level was very high. The amazing people at ILM, said, ya know, ‘So how does the creature move?’ So I said, ‘Well, this is how I think he’s gonna crawl.’ And they just said, ‘Well, why don’t you throw on the suit?’ And I was like, Totally!”
