In this new clip from Luca Guadagnino’s Suspiria, Dakota Johnson‘s Susie gives her soul to dance. Her performance is so potent that it catches the “ear” of the artistic director, played by Tilda Swinton. The two catch eyes and the connection is forever made.
Meagan reviewed the film and says, “Suspiria is it’s own beast, casting a hypnotic spell that’s sure to divide audiences.”
In the remake:
“A darkness swirls at the center of a world-renowned dance company, one that will engulf the troupe’s artistic director (Swinton), an ambitious young dancer (Johnson), and a grieving psychotherapist (Ebersdorf). Some will succumb to the nightmare. Others will finally wake up.”
The cast also includes Chloe Grace-Moretz, Tilda Swinton, Mia Goth, Sylvie Testud, Renée Soutendijk, Angela Winkler, Małgosia Bela and Lutz Ebersdorf.
Radiohead’s Thom Yorke composed the score. David Kajganich wrote the film, co-financed by Amazon Studios and K Period Media.
Suspiria dances its way into theaters on November 2.
