Smash hits at the box office mean sequels aren’t far behind, and as we reported several months back, John Krasinski’s A Quiet Place is indeed getting one.
Paramount has dated the film for May 15, 2020, and Krasinski has confirmed that he’ll be writing the script. In fact, the writing process has already begun!
“I had this small idea for a sequel, but I didn’t think it would go anywhere,” Krasinski just explained to THR, “So, I said to the studio, ‘Just go do the movie with somebody else.‘”
What changed? He continued, “They heard some pitches, and I told Andrew [Form, producer] about this little idea. And he told me to think about it a little longer. And then I thought, ‘This might really work.’ So, I’m currently writing the sequel.”
