With Halloween carving up big numbers, it only makes sense that other studios want to get in on the holiday fun, and Deadline reports today that New Regency has scooped up the film rights to Norman Partridge’s Halloween-set novel Dark Harvest, published in 2007.

Michael Gilio has been tapped to write the adaptation, with Matt Tolmach and David Manpearl on board to produce.
