Currently filming in Vancouver, Bloody Disgusting can exclusively report that Beatrice Kitsos (FOX’s “The Exorcist”) and Ty Consiglio (Wonder) have both joined the cast of Metro Goldwyn Mayer (MGM) and Orion Pictures’ Child’s Play, a contemporary version of the 1988 horror classic.

Kitsos and Consiglio will play Falyn and Pugg respectively, two friends of Andy Barclay (Gabriel Bateman).

They join the previously announced cast Aubrey Plaza (Ingrid Goes West, “Legion”, “Parks and Recreation”) as Karen and Emmy and Tony nominee Brian Tyree Henry (“Atlanta”, Widows, If Beale Street Could Talk) as Mike.

Child’s Play follows a mother (Plaza) who gives her son (Bateman) a toy doll for his birthday, unaware of its more sinister nature.

Lars Klevberg (Polaroid) directs from Tyler Burton Smith’s (Kung Fury, “Quantum Break” video game) screenplay based on the original motion. The film is produced by David Katzenberg and Seth Grahame-Smith under their KatzSmith Productions banner (It, It: Chapter 2). Aaron Schmidt and Chris Ferguson are executive producing. Kitsos and Consiglio are both represented by The Characters Talent Agency.
