Several of the big horror franchises have been given their own exhaustive documentaries in recent years, including A Nightmare on Elm Street and Friday the 13th, and hardcore fans of Sleepaway Camp will be happy to hear that it too is getting the doc treatment. We can exclusively report that Angela: The Official Sleepaway Camp Documentary is in the works!
From Michael Perez Entertainment, Angela is being executive produced by the original Angela Baker, Felissa Rose, and it’s being billed as “The first definitive documentary on everyone’s favorite female slasher.” Perez is no stranger to horror docs, having contributed to Never Sleep Again, Crystal Lake Memories, and the upcoming Pennywise: The Story of IT.
The documentary, a 4 hour film that will cover the cult original, Unhappy Campers, Teenage Wasteland and Return to Sleepaway Camp, will include the following goodies:
- Interviews with Frank Sorrentino, Thomas Van Dell, John Dunn, Felissa Rose, Karen Fields, Katherine Kamhi, Michael A. Simpson and more
