Japanese zombie film One Cut of the Dead, which screened at the Fantasia Film Festival (here’s our review), and is being likened to The Blair Witch Project‘s record-breaking success in 1999, is opening in UK cinemas on January 4, 2019. Those dying to be one of the first to see this widely-hyped festival hit can catch it at one of the following locations:

  • THE PRINCE CHARLES CINEMA, LONDON
  • BROADWAY CINEMA, NOTTINGHAM
  • GLASGOW FILM THEATRE
  • CHAPTER, CARDIFF
  • CUBE, BRISTOL
  • QUAD CINEMA, DERBY
  • DEPTFORD CINEMA, LONDON

In the film, things go badly for a hack director and film crew shooting a low budget zombie movie in an abandoned WWII Japanese facility, when they are attacked by real zombies.

There’s still no U.S. distribution announced, although we expect that soon. For now, here’s the international trailer.
