One of this year’s best horror films is no doubt Cam (now available on Netflix, read our review), the story of a cam girl who’s replaced on her live show by, well, an identical impostor. Full of nail-biting anxiety, it’s important, inventive horror told from a highly unique perspective, as it was co-written by newcomer Isa Mazzei, a former cam girl herself.
Mazzei wrote the script with director Daniel Goldhaber, and in a chat with The Daily Beast about the film, Mazzei let it slip that the duo is working on another horror film next.
According to the site, the Cam duo’s next will be another female-led horror movie, centered on a serial killer.
“It’s also somewhat autobiographical,” Mazzei told the site. “But in more of a symbolic way—obviously, I haven’t murdered anyone.”
