The Last Jedi director Rian Johnson has put together an insanely good cast for his Knives Out, a “murder mystery in a mansion film” that Lionsgate has now partnered with MRC to distribute worldwide. Via Deadline, it’s been set for nationwide release on November 27, 2019.
Lionsgate Motion Picture Group chairman Joe Drake said in a statement, “Knives Out redefines the detective movie genre in a cool and original way with a superstar filmmaker, an amazing ensemble cast and the perfect partner in MRC. We can hardly wait to bring this big, crowd-pleasing property to a global audience next Thanksgiving.”
The cast includes Daniel Craig, Jamie Lee Curtis, Christopher Plummer, Michael Shannon, Chris Evans, Toni Collette, Lakeith Stanfield, Don Johnson, Ana De Armas, Jaeden Lieberher, Riki Lindhome, Edi Patteron and Raúl Castillo.
Knives Out will be a “contemporary version of the locked door mansion murder mystery.”
Johnson wrote the script and directs.
