One of the all time scariest movie characters is Zelda from Mary Lambert’s 1989 adaptation of Pet Sematary, played by Andrew Hubatsek. The sister of Rachel Creed, the emaciated Zelda suffers from spinal meningitis, and even in death she haunts her sister while terrifying us. Zelda is back in Dennis Widmyer and Kevin Kolsch’s Pet Sematary, arriving in April!
Young actress Alyssa Brooke Levine has been cast as our new Zelda, and she’s featured in the latest TV spot for the new adaptation. It’s only a glimpse, but it’s enough to send chills!
Twins Hugo Lavoie and Lucas Lavoie play Gage Creed, with Jeté Laurence as Ellie Creed. Jason Clarke (Winchester) and Amy Seimetz (Alien: Covenant) are our new Louis and Rachel Creed, with John Lithgow as Jud Crandall. Obssa Ahmed is playing Victor Pascow.
In Pet Sematary, adapted by Jeff Buhler…
“Based on the novel by Stephen King, Pet Sematary follows Dr. Louis Creed, who, after relocating with his wife Rachel and their two young children from Boston to rural Maine, discovers a mysterious burial ground hidden deep in the woods near the family’s new home. When tragedy strikes, Louis turns to his unusual neighbor, Jud Crandall, setting off a perilous chain reaction that unleashes an unfathomable evil with horrific consequences.”
Return to the Pet Sematary on April 5, 2019.
