Dario Argento’s Next Project is “A Film Divided into Eight Episodes”

Published

on

Earlier this year, Dario Argento had revealed during an interview that he’s working on a new movie, noting that he was soon meeting with the writers to discuss the project. In a new chat with Radio Rai 1’s Un Giorno da Pecora this week, Argento dishes some more details.

(Below quotes are roughly translated from Italian-to-English.)

“My new work will be a film divided into eight episodes,” Argento told the outlet.

We’re working with my screenwriters, but there’s still a little time left,” he added. “We have two or three titles and then we decide. The protagonist will be a woman. Because the company that co-produces it is American… we will shoot it in English.”

Argento also seems to have noted in the interview that the episodic feature *could* air on either Netflix or Amazon in Italy. But it would seem nothing is locked down just yet.

The most recent film Dario Argento directed was Dracula 3D in 2012, and it was back in 2017 that Argento first talked about a new movie being written for him to direct.

Writer in the horror community since 2008. Editor in Chief of Bloody Disgusting. Owns Eli Roth's prop corpse from Piranha 3D. Has four awesome cats. Still plays with toys.
