Now this is a power team. Collider is reporting that Park Chan-wook‘s (Oldboy, Thirst) next will be an “ultraviolent western thriller” titled The Brigands of Rattlecreek, which has been picked up by Amazon Studios. The film was penned by S. Craig Zahler, the writer/director of both Bone Tomahawk and Brawl in Cell Block 99.
Additionally, they note that Matthew McConaughey is being courted to star.
The film follows a sheriff and a doctor who seek revenge against a group of bandits who use the cover of a torrential thunderstorm to rob and terrorize the occupants of a small town.
Bradley Fischer (Shutter Island) is on board to produce the film.
