Last week, Netflix surprise announced an April 10th release for The Silence, a killer bat film from Annabelle and Wish Upon director John Leonetti.
We now have the film’s official poster art that shows star Kiernan Shipka‘s (“Chilling Adventures of Sabrina”, The Blackcoat’s Daughter) Ally, a deaf teenager who is terrorized by a lethal bat species called Vesps, as well as Stanley Tucci (The Hunger Games).
“When the world is under attack from terrifying creatures who hunt their human prey by sound, 16-year old Ally Andrews (Shipka), who lost her hearing at 13, and her family seeks refuge in a remote haven. But they discover a sinister cult who are eager to exploit Ally’s heightened senses.”
Also starring are Miranda Otto, John Corbett, Kate Trotter and Kyle Breitkopf.
The Silence is based on the best-selling novel by fantasy/horror writer Tim Lebbon (“Star Wars: Into The Void”) with a screenplay by the Van Dyke brothers, Carey and Shane (Chernobyl Diaries).
