A nice little play on April Fool’s Day, Orion has released some fun art for their forthcoming Child’s Play that warns: “Don’t be fooled…he’s more than a toy.” “He” is obviously Chucky, the interactive Buddi doll-come-to-life and featuring the voice talents of Mark Hamill. Chucky stands out of focus in the following art for the film in theaters on June 21, 2019.
In the modern take, a mother (Aubrey Plaza) gives her son (Gabriel Bateman) one of those Buddi dolls for his birthday, unaware of its more sinister nature.
Directed byLars Klevberg, the cast also includes Beatrice Kitsos (FOX’s “The Exorcist”), Ty Consiglio (Wonder) and Brian Tyree Henry (“Atlanta”).
