Horror is already winning CinemaCon in Las Vegas as not only are the elevators boasting incredible art for 47 Meters Down: Uncaged, but one in Caesar’s Palace shows two people trying to escape the clutches of a stabby Chucky from the new Child’s Play.
In the modern take, a mother (Aubrey Plaza) gives her son (Gabriel Bateman) one of those Buddi dolls for his birthday, unaware of its more sinister nature. Chucky, the interactive Buddi doll-come-to-life features the voice talents of Mark Hamill.
Directed by Lars Klevberg, the cast also includes Beatrice Kitsos (FOX’s “The Exorcist”), Ty Consiglio (Wonder) and Brian Tyree Henry (“Atlanta”).
Chucky slashes into theaters on June 21, 2019.
